CUET UG exam pattern: current reference

The CUET UG 2027 information bulletin has not been released yet. The pattern below is from the most recent CUET UG cycle and is given as a reference. It will be updated if NTA announces changes for 2027.

Eligibility & Admission Process

What students should know before CUET UG 2027

NTA has not yet published the CUET UG 2027 bulletin. The steps below follow the most recent cycle. Always check the official bulletin and each university's own eligibility rules.

Check eligibility

Students who have passed Class 12 or are appearing in 2027 can apply. Each university sets its own minimum marks and subject rules.

Register with NTA

Fill the CUET UG form, choose your subjects and exam cities, pay the fee and upload your documents.

Take the test

Download your city intimation slip and admit card, then appear for your subject tests in computer-based mode.

Apply to universities

After the results, register on each university's portal (for example DU CSAS), fill your preferences and track seat allotment rounds.

Previous-cycle reference only: In recent cycles, NTA set no age limit for CUET UG, while universities could apply their own age and marks criteria. Registering for CUET does not mean you are eligible for every course. Always check the specific university's eligibility before you choose subjects.
Preparation Strategy

How toppers score 95+ percentile in CUET

CUET rewards students who know the NCERT books thoroughly and can stay accurate under negative marking across several 60-minute papers.

Lock your subjects early

Match your subjects to your target university's course requirements before registration so you don't waste effort on the wrong paper.

Make NCERT your base

Domain papers follow the NCERT Class 12 syllabus closely. Read the NCERT text and in-text questions line by line, then practise PYQs.

Practise the language paper daily

Reading comprehension and vocabulary improve with daily practice. Aim for 2–3 passages a day to raise both speed and accuracy.

Take timed mocks

Take full 50-question, 60-minute tests. With −1 negative marking, attempt only the questions you are confident about.
